A series of interviews were conducted to obtain more in-depth, personalized information from potential users. The insights attainable from in-person interviews help reduce risk for future designs.
The next goal is to improve understanding of the audience. This aim better informs the design team on design strategies. To this end, user personas are used to represent the ideal users and their personalities - the key audience. They are used to communicate to the UX team and build user understanding.
The main goal of a task model is to gain understanding of the use of the app to complete a task. Through this analysis, the steps to complete a task and the decisions along the path are identified and both of these will benefit the structure of a design in development.
A user experience map is used to visualize all of the journeys a user may experience when using the product, and how all of these journeys are connected. By mapping out a user’s entire product experience, problem areas can be highlighted and visualized. This analysis can drive new strategies and tactics for the product design.
